Colouring and Creative Writing Contests
Local students are invited to take part in our special Pride colouring contest (grades K to 5) and creative writing contest (grades 5 to 8). Colouring pages can be downloaded at www.borderlandpride.org/contest. Creative writing pieces can be short poems or a one-page reflection about Pride. Entries must be submitted to borderlandpride@gmail.com or Box 105, Fort Frances, ON, P9A 3M5. Some entries may be shared on social media (identifying info will be removed).

Knox United Church Worship Service - Special Performance of "Child of God"
To celebrate Pride Month, Knox is performing a special piece of music called "Child of God", by Mark Miller, during their service on Sunday, June 5. “Child of God” was written in response to the United Methodist Church’s trial about same-sex marriage. Knox invites community members who would like to be part of the performance to join them for a short practice at either or both of the following times: 11 AM on Sunday, May 29 (coffee to follow) or 7:30 PM on Thursday, June 2. Those who would like to take part can email knoxknet@bellnet.ca to request a copy of the music. You can listen to it on YouTube here and here. All are welcome to the June 5 service. Knox United is an LGBTQ2-affirming congregation.

Official Pride 2022 Flag-Raising
Borderland Pride’s official Pride flag raising will take place at Seven Generations’ Fort Frances campus. Brief remarks and flag-raising will be followed by coffee-time refreshments. All are welcome.

An Evening with Brock McGillis
Brock McGillis is the first professional hockey player to come out as gay, and since then, he has been an advocate for LGBTQ2 inclusion. Brock will take you on an emotional journey about his life growing up as a closeted, gay, professional athlete and inspire you to become 'shift makers' in your own lives. This is a FREE, public event.

Pride Rally and March Assembly
We are having a “tailgate” at the Sorting Gap Marina while we get ready for our Pride March! Local families, businesses, and organizations are invited to hand out rainbow swag, or set up a trunk or tailgate photobooth to celebrate Pride. Our judges will award a prizes to the best photobooth and other fun categories. Photos and videos can be tweeted or ‘grammed to #FFPride. FREE hotdogs for lunch. Beverages and other food for purchase.
